Fire safety is vitally important for the safety of all businesses and people alike, and after installing over 10,000 Fogmaker systems throughout Australia, United Safety & Survivability Corporation (formerly known as Firestorm Fire Protection) is well placed to service your requirements.
“United Safety & Survivability Corporation commenced as Firestorm in 2004 in the Hunter Valley in NSW and now has over 130 staff across Australia. In 2010 the Fogmaker water mist fire suppression system provided us with a unique product for all markets due to its compact design and efficient use of water, especially important in the mining industry” quoted Kieran McHatton – National Products and Innovation Manager. “We install about 120 fire suppression systems per month across Australia”
Outside of vehicle fire suppression, USCC provides FIFO servicing for the remote areas and has opened branches in regional and metro locations, with multiple branches in most states, each having a comprehensive warehouse to ensure there is supporting stock on hand.
Firestorm Australia (Firestorm) also designs and manufactures their own range of vehicle fire alarm panels which they export to Fogmaker North America (USSC Group).
Having worked together for 7 years developing products which provide leading edge solutions, both companies are aligned in product sets and values, and amalgamated in November 2019 with the executive committee voting unanimously for the rebranding to USCC due in part to the number of new products being released that do not fall under the banner of Fire Protection.
These new product ranges include antimicrobial barriers which kill germs on surfaces for 12 months and Active Air which kills airborne viruses and bacteria. These products complement existing COVID strategies and are available for mining transport such as buses and also for office and workspaces.
“We have also recently acquired a local Australian manufacture of Fire Suppression Systems in QLD called QTEC. United Safety (Firestorm) have distributed the QTEC product for the last 15 years so it made sense to acquire the company from Mark Ivanovic who is a character in the Fire Industry”.
Adding depth to the knowledge base at USCC is Danny Dries who came across from Wormald to serve as General Manager to take the company forward for the next stage of growth.
