A man has been injured in the early hours of this morning in a reported rockfall incident at a Queensland mining operation.
Queensland Ambulance services reportedly attended a mine site on the Gregory Development Rd at Seventy Mile shortly after 6am.
Paramedics treated a man in his 40s with rib and shoulder injuries and transported him at 6:07 am to Charters Towers Hospital.
The man is believed to be in a stable condition.
Queensland Ambulance Services confirmed that the man was involved in a “workplace incident” and has been transported. No further details are available at this time.

The Seventy Mile Area is South of Charters Towers and has been home to a range of well known Gold projects including Mount Leyshon. A number of exploration projects are occurring in the region at this time.
